BEFORE Band is a screenless, one-press AI voice recorder bracelet being designed in Switzerland. Its purpose is simple: help people bring chosen moments of real life into the AI workspace they already use, without making ambient surveillance the default.
The product idea
Most AI begins when someone opens a chat and writes a prompt. Useful context often existed minutes, hours or days earlier. BEFORE is being built to capture a thought or consented conversation through an explicit physical action, then prepare source-linked context for a person to use in their chosen AI.
The bracelet is a prototype in development. Connections, offline behavior, battery life, transfer reliability and health measurements remain subject to the product and hardware gates described across this site.
Why capture must be intentional
A physical press creates a boundary that the wearer and nearby people can understand. That boundary reduces unrelated collection, makes recording state easier to communicate and keeps the decision to capture separate from any later decision to share or act.
Captured context is never authorization. BEFORE may help prepare a draft, plan or candidate next step, but consequential action still requires an explicit approval.
How we publish
We separate documented behavior, observed evidence, roadmap intent and unknowns. We do not present supplier claims, mock interfaces or untested hardware targets as finished capability.
